Knee Replacement Surgery in Spain

Knee replacement surgery is the minimally invasive surgical procedure in which the knee joint (which «articulates» three bones: the upper end of the tibia, the lower end of the femur and the kneecap) is replaced with a prosthesis.

This operation is necessary when the patient suffers wear and tear of the joint caused by an accident or impact that has fractured the kneecap, or suffers osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, bone dysplasia or avascular necrosis, among other causes, that limit his mobility and cause him pain.

Knee replacement surgery may be the best option when pain interferes with your daily activities and non-surgical treatments do not help or are no longer effective.
